We are most delighted when we hear the news of new puppies in the Tundra Winds' kennel. This time out of Nikki and Bruin. Even more joyfull is the fact that one of these puppies is for us!! So Sterre gets a sister, as she has the same Dad!

We decide to name the new one: Tundra Winds' Aspen Daisy. Aspen as for the famous skiresort AND Aspentrees in Colorado and Daisy as for Sh'De Zi which means "Little Sister" in the Navajo language. Anne O'neill has helped us and we all thought the name is very appropiate. Donna, who also has a "wildflower" theme in her dogs' names, told us that the daisy grows underneith the Aspen trees. Her callname will be Aspen.
First pics, made by Donna and Scott, arrive within a week from birth by e-mail.

Nikki runs lead with her sister Skyrocket
on Donna's very succesfull sleddogteam and Bruin is a awsome weightpuller (that
is why Sterre is such a puller). So watch out you guys!! Another Colorado is
heading for the trails in Europe!
Donna is keeping us posted about the puppies over the weeks. They are hungry, busy, barking and howling! That sounds promising!!

In August 2001 we travel up to Colorado
to pick up Aspen, to meet all the Samoyed owners of Colorado and to have a wonderful
vacation in the Rockies.

September 2002
When we came home last year with Aspen, it was only 10 days before the attacks
on the Pentagon and WTC. Her in the Netherlands all kind of memorial programs
are on TV. The Stars 'n Stripes is still in our window. Aspen has grown up as
the most naughty puppy we have ever had. But she is also very sweet. She is
very clever. I took her, and Sterre and Ezrah for a walk to other night and
she pushed and pushed Ezrah away, until she ran next to Sterre. Let's hope she
will be like this in the team.
Here is the latest pic of Aspen. Our little Colorado girl ....
